As soon as you walk into the beach bar Holzmarkt, the smell of wood hits you. The beach bar lives up to its name. Wood everywhere! Wood chips on the ground, a wooden terrace and wooden pallets that are used multifunctionally. It has the feel of a beach bar but due to the lack of sand it really isn't. Due to the presence of beach chairs and long wooden beer tables Holzmarkt can best be described as a cross between a beach bar and a beer garden. The best of both worlds!
Choose a spot to sit at a long wooden beer table, on the rocking chair or on some decking by the water. This place definitely rates high in our summer chill book. Show it some ♥︎ to add it to your map too.
At number 25, Holzmarktstrasse, a lively neighborhood is gradually emerging that connects Mitte, Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg.
It is a place for people of all colors, place for daydreams, campfires, beavers, juggling and dogs without a leash. Here people shape the place, decisions are made, sown, harvested and celebrated together.
Not only is the location beautifully situated on the water, it is also very centrally located, just a few minutes from Alexanderplatz. However, you will not get much of the bustle and commerce on Berlin's most central square. Hidden behind a scrap wooden fence you feel completely cut off from the outside world, enchanted by a playground atmosphere.
In the summer months you can experience wonderful moments in Berlin's beach bars, where you can almost get the impression that the city is by the sea. Most Berlin beach locations that are located directly on the Spree. The Pampa on the Holzmarkt site is open Wednesday to Sunday from 2 p.m. in good weather.
