This court offers a burst of colour between the grey of buildings. Pigalle, run by basketball fan Stéphane Ashpool, teamed up with Ill-Studio to coincide with its latest clothing release – a collaboration with NIKELab. Ill-Studio, is a creative studio that besides Nike, worked with the likes of Supreme, Chanel, The New York Times and Hermès.
Sandwiched between a pair of apartment buildings in Paris is the Pigalle basketball court – where air balls and alley-oops meet artistic intervention. Led by its basketball-fan founder Stéphane Ashpool, french fashion brand Pigalle teamed up with Parisian creative agency ill-studio and NIKE to spice up the site with a fresh and funky aesthetic.
According to the creative agency their goal was "to explore the relationship between sport, art and culture and its emergence as a powerful socio-cultural indicator of a period in time. We aim to establish visual parallels between the past, present and future of modernism".
Mm - and all we wanted to do was shoot some hoops (and get some instagrammable shots in as well). Hit the ♥︎ to add it to your personal training spot map - or just because you love the color mix.
