Battery Park is a public park in Manhattan. The area in which it is located, the Battery, got its name from the artillery batteries that were used to guard the city. The park offers many different attractions for visitors, including an urban farm, a bikeway and the historic Castle Clinton, landmark run by the National Park Service which used to be a theatrical venue and then an immigration depot for immigrants who came to the city.
Battery Park has appeared in many well-known films, such as Desperately Seeking Susan, Men in Black and the Royal Tenenbaums. Most recently, it was used as a setting for Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, featuring Shia LaBeouf and Michael Douglas.
