This island was built on the pillars of the former Pier 54, and seems to be floating on the water. And that was exactly what the architects had in mind when designing this masterpiece: A leaf floating on the water - like a fairy tale. It adds to the feeling of excitement of being over the water, the feeling of leaving the city behind and being immersed in greenery – where it’s possible to forget that you are in the midst of the most densely populated city in the United States. We already made it place of the week, now it also made our Best Summer Hang Out Top 3.

A wonderfully pleasant oasis in the middle of the city - with dazzling views. A great place to bring your kids or enjoy the entertainment and food. A lovely summer retreat that apparently enchanted you as much as it did us.
