An abandoned fairground now a perfect place for some urban exploring. The fairground officially opened in 1969 under the name Kulturpark Plänterwald, the first of its kind in East and West Berlin. The park was a popular attraction, pulling in 1.5 million visitors a year. It closed its doors in 1999 due to financial problems. The park has fallen into decay but to date it remains a popular destination for urban exploring, films and festivals.
