Serendipity III is a chocolate and coffee shop which opened in 1954 and has been popular among New Yorkers and tourists ever since. It’s also very popular among celebrities, with Marilyn Monroe, Andy Warhol and Jackie being some of the icons who have visited the joint over the years. Every day, visitors line up to try the shop’s signature dish, the Frrrrozen Hot Chocolate.

Its celebrity visitors and unique signature dish aren’t the only reasons for Serendipity III’s rapport. In the early 2000s, the shop was made even more famous by its appearance in the movie Serendipity, featuring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. The movie’s main characters, Jonathan (Cusack) and Sara (Beckinsale), dine at Serendipity III after they met for the first time.
