Just a few meteres south and you can access the McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve. It covers more than 40 hectares within the 84 hectare of land owned by General Motors Company of Canada Limited. The reserve lies in between the Second Marsh on the west and Darlington Provincial Park on the east.
You can see open rolling meadows, beachfront and an interesting drumlin from which you have great panoramic views.
In case you are wondering: A drumlin is a hill in the shape of an inverted spoon or half-buried egg. It is formed by glacial ice moving material.
