The Moxy has something for every taste or every mood you're in. Featuring a bar, a lounge, café, and an outdoor terrace with a communal atmosphere. And it just so happens you can book a room here too.
It's newest addition is the Ready Rooftop Bar. We have to admit - it's the complete vibe of this place that got us really excited. It's the murals, planters, casual seating, and a bar made of stacked plastic milk crates - o yeah and the food - of course.
Thanks to the New York City Guide - for bringing this place to our attention :)
Moxy East Village is located in the heart of New York City’s hallowed East Village—the breeding ground for society-shifting movements in rock n’ roll, avant-garde art, Beatnik poetry, LGBTQ+ activism, and American counterculture as we know it. Designed by the Rockwell Group, the hotel flows from bottom to top as a chronological trip through the eras of the East Village—paying tribute to the earliest settlers, the renegade punks and the envelope-pushers of today. With 286 design-driven bedrooms, modern co-working spaces, creative cultural programming and tech-savvy amenities, guests can count on a rebelliously refined stay at a price that won’t break the bank. Four new eating and drinking venues overseen by Tao Group include Cathédrale, a French-Mediterranean restaurant from Chef Jason Hall, underground lounge Little Sister, the all-day Alphabet Bar & Café in the lobby, and The Ready, an all-season rooftop bar.
Collegial yet refined, The Ready at Moxy East Village feels like an escape from the New York daily grind. The eclectic décor (strung lights, a vine-strewn mural, a bar made of plastic milk crates) and unique food and beverage offerings create a relaxed rooftop experience—like a coveted New York City backyard. The retractable glass walls and roof allow for all-season panoramic views of the East Village and beyond.
