As Toronto’s longest continuously operating hotel and following an extensive renovation, Gladstone House is thrilled to reopen its doors in the heart of West Queen West. Celebrate your wedding, connect at a business meeting, imagine an art-inspired getaway or simply join us for a night of entertainment – Gladstone House is ready to welcome you!
Built in 1889 and steeped in history, this landmark property features traditional light hardwood floors, restored exposed brick walls and locally curated art throughout the building. In contrast, unique and innovative lighting applications which transition throughout the day, add a touch of modern flare and bring the building to life.
Originally built in 1889, Gladstone Hotel has long been a retreat for artists and other creatives (many used to stay there after performances at the nearby Massey Hall). It has recently been renovated and their newly reimagined guestrooms feature light hardwood floors, neutral accents, and exposed brick walls.
While you relax and enjoy your stay you can take in and discover each piece of locally crafted artwork. Starting in the lobby, guests are greeted by art above the fireplace, and a spectacular hand-painted mural overhead. The stairway gallery and Studio Level feature rotating exhibitions and murals. Art at Gladstone House focuses on local and regional artists, including a combination of permanent and temporary installations.
